Sanemi’s, Genya’s, Gyomei’s, and Muichiro’s fight

(Spoiler Alert)

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a popular manga and anime series that depicts the struggle between humans and demons in a historical fantasy setting. One of the most powerful and dramatic battles in the series is the one between Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, and Kokushibo, the Upper-Rank-One of the Twelve Kizuki.

I will give the 10 powerful reasons that make this battle so compelling and memorable, and give an overview of who is more powerful and who would win.

Reason 1: The contrast between Sanemi’s human blood and Kokushibo’s demon blood

Sanemi and Kokushibo

In this battle, Sanemi’s human blood differs from Kokushibo’s demon blood. Sanemi has a rare blood type that attracts demons, but he uses it to his advantage by deliberately cutting himself to attract and make them angry. With his Wind Breathing technique, he bravely fights and defeats the demons, symbolizing his courage and defiance against them.

Kokushibo possesses demon blood, which gives him immense power and longevity but destroys his humanity. He can manipulate his blood to create deadly attacks like blades, arrows, and crescents. His regeneration ability makes him appear unstoppable. Kokushibo’s blood symbolizes his arrogance, ambition, and pursuit of perfection.

Reason 2: The connection between Sanemi and Kokushibo as descendants of Yoriichi

Sanemi and Kokushibo face

The battle between Sanemi and Kokushibo is fascinating due to their connection as descendants of Yoriichi Tsugikuni. His younger twin brother, Michikatsu, became Kokushibo after transforming into a demon.

Sanemi is a distant relative of Yoriichi, and he inherited his demon slayer mark, which enhances his physical and mental capabilities. He also learned the Wind Breathing technique, which is derived from the Sun Breathing technique. On the other hand, Kokushibo disliked and envied Yoriichi. He felt inferior and overshadowed by his younger brother and he hated that Yoriichi aged gracefully despite having a limited lifespan. To surpass his brother, Kokushibo became a demon, developed his own corrupted Moon Breathing technique, and rejected Yoriichi as his brother.

Reason 3: The rivalry between Sanemi and Kokushibo as swordsmen

Sanemi and Kokushibo rivalry

A third aspect of this battle is the rivalry between Sanemi and Kokushibo as swordsmen. They have different philosophies and goals regarding swordsmanship.

Sanemi is passionate, valuing his sword and comrades as family. He fights wholeheartedly to protect humanity from demons, believing that a swordsman’s true strength lies in their spirit and character. On the other hand, Kokushibo is a cold and ruthless swordsman. He sees his sword as a tool and his enemies as obstacles and he fights using his mind and logic, aiming to dominate and destroy all that opposes him. Kokushibo believes that perfection and superiority can be achieved through swordsmanship, with technique and power being the key factors in a swordsman’s strength.

Reason 4: The contrast between Sanemi’s scars and Kokushibo’s eyes

Sanemi and Kokushibo

A fourth aspect of this battle is the contrast between Sanemi’s scars and Kokushibo’s eyes. Sanemi’s scars symbolize his harsh life, losing his family to demons and being abused by his brother. He faced many demons and near-death situations, leaving him wounded. But he doesn’t regret them; they represent his survival and determination.

Kokushibo’s demonic transformation gave him six eyes on his face, allowing him to see intricate details like muscles, bones, and blood flow. He can predict and counter opponent movements flawlessly. Despite this power, the eyes remind him of his loss and obsession, leaving him unsatisfied and unhappy.

Reason 5: The bond between Sanemi and Genya as brothers

Bond between sanemi and genya

A fifth aspect of this battle is the bond between Sanemi and Genya as brothers. They are the only surviving family members but have a strained relationship. Sanemi pushed Genya away, forbidding him to become a demon slayer, which caused resentment. Despite this, Genya became a demon slayer and gained demonic powers by consuming demon parts.

Sanemi and Genya meet again during the battle with Kokushibo, and they initially argue and fight each other. However, they soon realize that they share the same goal and the same blood, and they decide to cooperate and fight together. They also reconcile and express their love and respect for each other as they face the formidable enemy.

Battle of Sanemi and Kokushibo is very very interesting but what about if we compare the battle of Gyomei and Akaza????

Reason 6: The arrival of Gyomei Himejima and Muichiro Tokito as Reinforcements

Gyomei Himejima and Muichiro

Thats where the battle of victory takes place when Gyomei Himejima and Muichiro Tokito arrives. They are two powerful demon slayers known as Hashira. Gyomei is the Stone Hashira, using a stone axe and flail with the Stone Breathing technique. Muichiro is the Mist Hashira, using a thin sword with Mist Breathing technique.

Gyomei and Muichiro join Sanemi and Genya to fight Kokushibo, adding their unique skills and personalities. Together, they challenge Kokushibo.

Reason 7: The revelation of Kokushibo’s past and his relationship with Yoriichi

Yoriichi and Kokushibo

The seventh aspect of the battle reveals Kokushibo’s past and his relationship with Yoriichi. Kokushibo remembers his human life as Michikatsu Tsugikuni, a respected swordsman and demon slayer. He was close to Yoriichi and they both loved swordsmanship. This sheds light on Kokushibo’s motives and character.

However, he also reveals that he gradually grew jealous and bitter of Yoriichi, as he realized that he could never match his brother’s talent and achievements and says that he felt betrayed and abandoned by Yoriichi, who left him to pursue his own path and his own ideals. He reveals that he became a demon to escape death and surpass Yoriichi, and that he devoted his life to perfecting his swordsmanship and his Moon-Breathing technique. He reveals that he resented and hated Yoriichi and that he wanted to erase his existence and his legacy.

Reason 8: The display of Sanemi’s, Genya’s, Gyomei’s, and Muichiro’s skills and techniques

An eighth aspect of this battle is the display of Sanemi’s, Genya’s, Gyomei’s, and Muichiro’s skills and techniques, which showcase their individual and collective strengths and abilities. Each of them has their own unique and impressive breathing style, which they use to combat Kokushibo’s overwhelming power and speed.

Sanemi uses the Wind Breathing technique, which consists of ten forms that create powerful slashes and gusts of wind with his sword. Some of his forms are:

Sanemi's Wind Breathing technique

Dust Whirlwind Cut – A horizontal slash that creates a whirlwind of dust and debris, which can blind and damage the enemy.

Gale – A vertical slash that creates a powerful gale of wind, which can blow away and cut the enemy.

Whirlwind – A spinning slash that creates a vortex of wind around the user, which can deflect and counter the enemy’s attacks.

Sudden Gust – A swift and precise slash that creates a sudden gust of wind, which can surprise and pierce the enemy.

White Dragon Gale – A continuous and relentless slash that creates a white dragon-shaped gale of wind, which can devour and tear apart the enemy.

Genya uses the Demon Slayer technique, which allows him to consume and absorb demon parts and gain some of their abilities and traits. He can also use his gun and bullets, which are infused with his blood and wisteria poison, to shoot and injure the demons from a distance. Some of his abilities are:

Genya's Demon Slayer technique

Enhanced Strength – By consuming Kokushibo’s flesh, Genya gains a boost in his physical strength, which allows him to wield a large sword and fight on par with the demon.

Enhanced Regeneration – By consuming Kokushibo’s flesh, Genya gains the ability to heal from any wound, even if his limbs are severed or his organs are damaged.

Enhanced Senses – By consuming Kokushibo’s flesh, Genya gains the ability to see and hear better, which helps him to detect and avoid the demon’s attacks.

Blood Demon Art: Flame Bullets – By consuming Akaza’s flesh, Genya gains the ability to create and fire bullets that explode into flames, which can burn and harm the demons.

Gyomei uses the Stone Breathing technique, which consists of four forms that create massive and destructive impacts with his axe and flail. Some of his forms are:

Gyomei's Stone Breathing technique

Rock Smashing Strike – A downward swing of the axe that creates a shockwave, which can smash and crush the enemy.

Wheel of Stones – A circular swing of the flail that creates a spinning wheel of stones, which can hit and batter the enemy from multiple angles.

Single Wheel of Stones – A single swing of the flail that creates a large and fast stone, which can strike and knock back the enemy with great force.

Volcanic Rock – Rapid Conquest – A series of swings of the axe and the flail that create a barrage of stones, which can overwhelm and bombard the enemy with sheer power.

Muichiro uses the Mist Breathing technique, which consists of six forms that create subtle and elegant slashes with his sword. Some of his forms are:

Muichiro's Mist Breathing technique

Mist Spider – A slash that creates a thin and sharp thread of mist, which can cut and ensnare the enemy.

Eight-Layered Mist – A slash that creates eight layers of mist around the user, which can conceal and protect the user from the enemy’s sight and attacks.

Shifting Flow Slash – A slash that changes its direction and angle in mid-air, which can confuse and catch the enemy off guard.

Stratus Clouds – A slash that creates a dense and heavy mist, which can obscure and suffocate the enemy.

Moonlit Snow – A slash that creates a bright and beautiful mist, which can dazzle and mesmerize the enemy.

We are very near to the conclusion as who is more powerful and wins the battle. keep on reading !!!

Reason 9: The sacrifice of Genya and Muichiro for the sake of their comrades

Genya and Muichiro

A ninth aspect of this battle is the sacrifice of Genya and Muichiro for the sake of their comrades, which demonstrates their courage and loyalty. However, they do not die in vain, as they use their last moments to help and support their fellow demon slayers.

Genya sacrifices himself by using his body as a shield to protect Sanemi from Kokushibo’s fatal blow, and by biting Kokushibo’s neck to weaken and distract him. He also uses his demon slayer mark to transmit his thoughts and feelings to Sanemi, and to encourage him to keep fighting. He dies with a smile on his face, knowing that he has reconciled with his brother and that he has fulfilled his duty as a demon slayer.

Muichiro sacrifices himself by using his sword to sever Kokushibo’s arm, and by stabbing Kokushibo’s eye to blind and injure him. He also uses his demon slayer mark to awaken his memories and his identity, and to share his vision and wisdom with Gyomei. He dies with a calm and serene expression, knowing that he has regained his sense of self and that he has contributed to the cause of the demon slayers.

Reason 10: The final showdown between Sanemi and Gyomei vs Kokushibo

Sanemi and Gyomei vs Kokushibo

A tenth aspect of this battle is the final showdown between Sanemi and Gyomei vs Kokushibo, which is the culmination and the climax of the fight. After losing Genya and Muichiro, Sanemi and Gyomei are the only ones left to face Kokushibo, who is still formidable and determined to kill them. However, they do not give up or back down, as they unleash their full power and potential to defeat the demon.

Sanemi and Gyomei combine their breathing techniques and weapons to create a devastating and unstoppable attack called the Wind and Stone: Roaring Flashing Strike. This attack consists of a simultaneous and synchronized slash of Sanemi’s sword and Gyomei’s axe, which create a massive and blinding flash of light and sound, which can cut through anything.

They use this attack to strike Kokushibo’s head, and to finally end his life.

So the question Arises Sanemi vs Kokushibo Who is more powerful and who would win?

Sanemi is more powerful and would win the battle against Kokushibo, as he has more advantages and qualities that make him a better swordsman, a better demon slayer, and a better human.

But how am I saying that? On what analysis? Though there were four Hashiras battling in front of one demon. Here are the following reasons which I prefer :

Sanemi has a stronger and more noble spirit, as he fights for the sake of humanity and his comrades, while Kokushibo has a weaker and more twisted spirit, as he fights for the sake of himself and his ego.

Sanemi has a more versatile and adaptable technique, as he can use his Wind Breathing to create various forms of slashes and gusts of wind. In contrast, Kokushibo has a more rigid and predictable technique, as he can only use his Moon Breathing to create various forms of blades and crescents.

Sanemi has a more reliable and supportive team, as he can cooperate and coordinate with Genya, Gyomei, and Muichiro, who have their own unique and impressive breathing styles, while Kokushibo has no allies or friends, and he has to face the demon slayers alone.

Therefore, I think that Sanemi is more powerful and would win the battle against Kokushibo.
